Garden Design and Landscaping in Ahmedabad
A designed garden for your bungalow, villa, row house or society: drawing, plants, lawn, paths and watering. Across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, priced in a written proposal.
For Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar
We design and build gardens around homes: the front garden and entrance, the side strip, the back lawn, a courtyard or a housing society's common garden. You get a scaled drawing and a plant list suited to your city's weather and your hours of sun, then our team lays the beds, lawn, paths, edging, lighting and drip irrigation, and plants it. After handover the garden can be looked after on a monthly plan.
Our team for Ahmedabad serves SG Highway, Prahlad Nagar, Bodakdev, Thaltej, Satellite, Vastrapur, Bopal, GIFT City, Gandhinagar and Science City.
Who it is for — Bungalow, villa and row-house owners, builders handing over homes, and housing societies.

Local conditions
Planning for Ahmedabad's climate
Fig. 01Climate and soil
Ahmedabad has very hot, dry summers and a short monsoon, so water is the main constraint. Drip irrigation, mulching and drought-tolerant native plants make gardens here last.
Fig. 02When to plant and how to care
Plant in the monsoon in July and August. Winter from November to February is the best growing season. From April to June, water early in the morning and shade young plants.

Shade first, then colour
Ahmedabad's average summer maximum is 43°C, the city has recorded 48°C, and almost all of its roughly 800 mm of rain falls between mid-June and mid-September. Garden design and landscaping in Ahmedabad is about shade and water: a sit-out under trees or a pergola, beds that keep their moisture, and a lawn that is allowed to rest in the hottest weeks. We design and build gardens for bungalows in Bodakdev, Thaltej and Satellite, tenements and row houses in Bopal and Prahlad Nagar, and society gardens across the city.
Gulmohar suits the open, sandy ground and grows into a wide canopy over a lawn edge or driveway, and neem and kadamb planted early will shade a sit-out within a few years. A pergola with a creeper gives shade sooner, where the family needs it in the first year.
Bougainvillea, kaner, tecoma and sadabahar carry colour through the heat once rooted. Along a boundary or in a dry corner, khejri (Prosopis cineraria) and other hardy natives survive on very little water.
A lawn that suits the city
Doob grass, the local Cynodon, is the lawn grass best matched to Ahmedabad: its roots go deep in loose soil and it turns light brown in the driest weeks, then greens again with water or rain. The garden is drawn so the lawn is not the only green, with planted beds and shrubs holding colour while the grass rests.
Drip lines and mulch carry the beds through the nine dry months, and the irrigation is set for early-morning watering when less is lost to heat.
When to plant, and the winter garden
Trees, shrubs and lawn are planted at the start of the monsoon from mid-June, or in the cooler months from November to February. Planting in May means daily watering just to keep plants alive.
Winter, with highs around 30°C, is the season for full flower beds, so the layout keeps sunny beds for genda, gul-e-dawoodi and petunia each November, and leaves the terrace and front garden clear for Uttarayan in January.

Questions
Frequently asked
Why does my Ahmedabad lawn turn brown in summer?
Doob grass goes dormant and pales in the hottest, driest weeks to survive. It greens again with deep watering or the first rains; it is not dying.
Which shade trees suit an Ahmedabad garden?
Gulmohar, neem and kadamb are reliable on the city's sandy soil. A pergola with a creeper gives shade sooner while the trees grow.
When is the best time to make a new garden in Ahmedabad?
At the start of the monsoon from mid-June, or from November to February. Avoid planting in April and May, when new plants need watering every day.
Do you provide garden design and landscaping for homes across Ahmedabad?
Yes. We work across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, including SG Highway, Prahlad Nagar, Bodakdev, Thaltej, Satellite and Vastrapur.
What does garden design and landscaping for homes cost in Ahmedabad?
Garden Design and Landscaping for Homes in Ahmedabad is priced for each project in a written proposal, since the cost depends on the space, the crops and how much is automated.
How do you serve Ahmedabad?
Our team visits Ahmedabad once you agree the proposal, and maintenance is carried out by gardeners deployed in the city for your contract. Message us on WhatsApp to book a date.
What does garden design include?
A site visit, a scaled layout drawing, a plant list chosen for your sun, soil and city, and a list of materials for beds, paths and watering. If you want, our team then builds and plants it.
How is the price of a home garden worked out?
From the area, the share that is lawn, beds or paving, the size of plants you want on day one, and whether irrigation and lighting are included. You get a fixed figure in a written proposal after the site visit.
Can you redo an existing garden instead of starting fresh?
Yes. We keep the healthy trees and shrubs, move what is in the wrong place, and redesign the beds, lawn and paths around them.
Do you design small gardens and side strips?
Yes. Narrow side strips, small front gardens and courtyards often need the most careful plant choice, because every plant is seen up close.
Will the garden need a gardener every day?
No. We design for the upkeep you can give: drip on a timer, plants suited to the site, mulched beds and less lawn where it would struggle. A weekly or fortnightly visit keeps most home gardens in shape.
