Garden Design and Landscaping in Bangalore
A designed garden for your bungalow, villa, row house or society: drawing, plants, lawn, paths and watering. Across Bengaluru, priced in a written proposal.
For Bengaluru
We design and build gardens around homes: the front garden and entrance, the side strip, the back lawn, a courtyard or a housing society's common garden. You get a scaled drawing and a plant list suited to your city's weather and your hours of sun, then our team lays the beds, lawn, paths, edging, lighting and drip irrigation, and plants it. After handover the garden can be looked after on a monthly plan.
Our team for Bangalore serves Whitefield, Electronic City, Outer Ring Road, Manyata Tech Park, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Indiranagar, Hebbal, Yelahanka and Sarjapur Road.
Who it is for — Bungalow, villa and row-house owners, builders handing over homes, and housing societies.

Local conditions
Planning for Bangalore's climate
Fig. 01Climate and soil
Bangalore is mild through the year with two monsoons and red soil. Almost every garden plant grows well here, and the city has a strong culture of terrace gardens and managed farmland.
Fig. 02When to plant and how to care
Planting works from June to November across both monsoons. From March to May, water more and mulch. Winter flowers do well from November.

A garden on a water budget
Bangalore's mild weather lets a home garden grow almost all year, with January minimums around 15°C and two monsoons. The hard part is water: in March 2024 the water board banned Cauvery drinking water for gardening. Garden design and landscaping in Bangalore therefore plans a garden that looks full on less water, with drip in place of hoses, mulched beds and a lawn only where it is used. We design and build gardens for independent houses in Indiranagar, Koramangala and JP Nagar, villas along Sarjapur Road and in Whitefield, and apartment-community gardens.
Drip lines feed every bed, set to water early in the morning, and a layer of mulch keeps the red soil from drying and crusting. Where an apartment community has its own sewage treatment plant, the garden is planned to run on treated water, with the irrigation line and filter kept apart from drinking water.
Lawns are drawn small and placed where children play or people sit. The rest of the ground becomes ground cover, gravel and planting, which stays green on far less water than grass.
What grows in Bangalore's climate
Species that have done well for a century in Cubbon Park, such as gulmohar, silver oak and bamboo, are a reliable base, along with frangipani, champa and parijata. Heliconia, ferns, anthuriums and calatheas fill shaded gardens, and the mild winter suits roses and seasonal beds.
The red loamy-to-clayey soil needs compost worked in before planting, and a soil check comes before the plant list, because the ground beside a new villa is often builder's fill rather than garden soil.
Two monsoons and tree rules
We plan ground work to finish before the southwest monsoon in June, so new planting roots with the rain, and the shorter northeast monsoon in October and November gives the garden a second growth push. Because nothing goes dormant for long, weeding is heavier in the first months after planting.
Under the Karnataka Preservation of Trees Act, 1976, felling a tree needs the Tree Officer's permission, and pruning needs the forest officer's approval, so mature trees are kept and the design is drawn around them.

Questions
Frequently asked
Can a garden in Bangalore stay green without drinking water?
Yes. Drip irrigation, mulch, a smaller lawn and plants suited to the climate cut water use sharply. Where the building has an STP, the garden can be planned to run on treated water.
When should a garden be planted in Bangalore?
Just before or at the start of the southwest monsoon in June is best. The northeast monsoon in October and November is a second good window.
Which flowering trees suit a Bangalore garden?
Gulmohar, frangipani, champa and parijata are reliable. Gulmohar and silver oak have grown in Cubbon Park for well over a century.
Do you provide garden design and landscaping for homes across Bangalore?
Yes. We work across Bengaluru, including Whitefield, Electronic City, Outer Ring Road, Manyata Tech Park, Koramangala and HSR Layout.
What does garden design and landscaping for homes cost in Bangalore?
Garden Design and Landscaping for Homes in Bangalore is priced for each project in a written proposal, since the cost depends on the space, the crops and how much is automated.
How do you serve Bangalore?
Our team visits Bangalore once you agree the proposal, and maintenance is carried out by gardeners deployed in the city for your contract. Message us on WhatsApp to book a date.
What does garden design include?
A site visit, a scaled layout drawing, a plant list chosen for your sun, soil and city, and a list of materials for beds, paths and watering. If you want, our team then builds and plants it.
How is the price of a home garden worked out?
From the area, the share that is lawn, beds or paving, the size of plants you want on day one, and whether irrigation and lighting are included. You get a fixed figure in a written proposal after the site visit.
Can you redo an existing garden instead of starting fresh?
Yes. We keep the healthy trees and shrubs, move what is in the wrong place, and redesign the beds, lawn and paths around them.
Do you design small gardens and side strips?
Yes. Narrow side strips, small front gardens and courtyards often need the most careful plant choice, because every plant is seen up close.
Will the garden need a gardener every day?
No. We design for the upkeep you can give: drip on a timer, plants suited to the site, mulched beds and less lawn where it would struggle. A weekly or fortnightly visit keeps most home gardens in shape.
